Ryanair has increased its baggage allowance to 40cm x 30cm x 20cm, while Aer Lingus requires a €9.99 fee for a 10kg carry-on bag with priority boarding. Checking in a 20kg bag costs between €25 and €55, depending on the flight length. Ryanair's CEO, Michael O'Leary, stated that they wanted their baggage allowance to be larger than the EU standard.
