Arm Holdings' shares rose 15% after unveiling its first production data center processor, the Arm AGI CPU, which it claims delivers twice the performance per rack compared to X86-based chips from Intel and AMD. The chip was co-developed with Meta and is also being used by Cerebras, Cloudflare, OpenAI, and others for agentic AI applications. Despite the excitement, BofA Global Research analyst Vivek Arya noted that the CPU market is becoming crowded with incumbents and hyperscalers offering their own customized CPUs.
