RN Ravi Should Resign Following Supreme Court's Landmark Verdict on Governors' Power

Margaret Alva, former Union minister, has called for Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi to resign after the Supreme Court ruled that withholding assent to MK Stalin government's 10 bills for three years was "illegal" and "arbitrary". Alva says the court's verdict is "much needed" and "on time", and that Ravi should now "resign and go home". The court has also set a timeline for Governors to clear bills within a month or reserve them for the President's review with the aid and advice of the Council of Ministers.
