The Ripple lawsuit and the potential approval of an XRP ETF have been two of the most anticipated events in the crypto community. While the timeline for these events remains uncertain, attorney Jeremy Hogan has expressed optimism that the Ripple lawsuit will be resolved before the XRP ETF is approved.

Hogan's remarks come amidst growing interest from asset managers in launching an XRP ETF. Grayscale Investments and CBOE BZX Exchange have both filed 19b-4 forms with the NYSE and SEC, respectively, to launch XRP ETFs. However, the approval of these ETFs while the Ripple lawsuit is still pending remains uncertain.

Jeremy Hogan believes that the Ripple lawsuit is likely to be resolved ahead of the potential launch of an XRP ETF. He estimates that the ETF approval process could take up to 12 months, highlighting the possible delay in the SEC's approval of the Ripple ETF.

The XRP community has been eagerly awaiting the takeover of Paul Atkins as the new SEC Chair. Ripple's Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, believes that the new SEC Chair could bring a conclusion to the Ripple lawsuit. He remains cautiously optimistic that the case will be voluntarily withdrawn at some point during 2025.
