Ripple co-founder and executive chairman Chris Larsen still holds a significant stake in XRP, according to on-chain investigator ZachXBT. Larsen controls over $7 billion in XRP tokens, with seven active addresses on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) linked to him. In January alone, Larsen sent over $109 million worth of XRP to crypto exchanges, presumably for sale on the open market.

ZachXBT, in his Telegram channelCHRO--, listed the addresses activated by Larsen, which are still active today. These addresses include:

  • rB5TihdPbKgMrkFqrqUC3yLdE8hhv4BdeY
  • rPoJNiCk7XSFLR28nH2hAbkYqjtMC3hK2k
  • rD6tdgGHG7hwGTA6P39aE7W89fbqxXRjzk
  • rDfrrrBJZshSQDvfT2kmL9oUBdish52unH

  • r44CNwMWyJf4MEA1eHVMLPTkZ1LSv4Bzrv
  • rhREXVHV938ToGkdJQ9NCYEY4x8kSEtjna

ZachXBT also noted that some of these addresses have been dormant for several years, and it's possible that Larsen may have lost access to them or transferred funds to others. Additionally, Larsen was reportedly hacked for $112 million early last year.

In unrelated news, President Trump announced via Truth Social the establishment of a "crypto strategic reserve" for the US, which will include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA). This announcement triggered a massive surge in crypto markets, with XRP surging by over 37%. As a result, Larsen's net worth increased by billions of dollars in mere hours.
