Rapidus, which began prototyping 2nm GAA transistors at its state-of-the-art facility in Chitose City, Hokkaido, will use data from Keysight's parametric testers and root-cause analysis solution to develop a PDK compatible with its 2nm GAA manufacturing process.
Keysight, with extensive experience in semiconductor manufacturing process optimization, has developed original analysis algorithms and data formats to improve process control and reduce costs. The collaboration will utilize these tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of Rapidus' semiconductor manufacturing.
Rapidus plans to release the PDK to initial customers by Q1 2026, creating an environment where customers can begin prototyping. This collaboration is expected to contribute to improved semiconductor design and manufacturing quality, as well as cost reduction.
