Photon Design Unveils HAROLD QD Quantum Dot Laser Simulator Tool Ahead of OFC Conference

Photon Design has released HAROLD QD, a quantum dot laser simulation tool that enables engineers to model multi-layer epitaxy structures, including dot size and distribution. The tool allows for 3D stress and strain models, gain and absorption spectra calculation, and reliable matching with field test results. HAROLD QD is a single, integrated environment for gain materials like InP and silicon, with seamless integration into Photon Design's PICWAVE tool. The tool is available for customer evaluation as a release candidate.
