Parex Resources has halted discussions with GeoPark regarding the acquisition of GeoPark for $9.00 per share in cash, citing a gap in perceived value. Parex concluded that further discussions were unlikely to lead to an agreement, despite virtual and in-person discussions with GeoPark management. Parex had initially submitted the proposal on September 4, 2025.
