Ovintiv completes $2.7B acquisition of NuVista Energy, adds 930 oil-rich well locations.

Ovintiv Inc. has completed its acquisition of NuVista Energy Ltd. for $2.7 billion, adding 930 net 10,000-foot equivalent well locations and 140,000 net acres in Alberta Montney. The acquired assets are expected to produce approximately 100 MBOE/d, with 25 Mbbls/d of oil and condensate. The assets are adjacent to Ovintiv's current operations and have access to processing and downstream infrastructure.
