A wildfire in Kingston, Newfoundland, has grown to 9,127 hectares, with approximately 100 homes destroyed. The Paddy's Pond fire is 308 hectares, and the Martin Lake fire is 2,160 hectares. An evacuation alert has been issued for Job's Cove, and air quality warnings are in effect for the north Avalon Peninsula and St. John's area. Crews are working to contain the fires, with cooler and damper weather conditions expected to help suppression efforts.
