Nasdaq Surges 1%, ON Semiconductor Reports Q3 Earnings Above Expectations

ON Semiconductor reported better-than-expected Q3 earnings, with quarterly earnings of 63 cents per share beating the analyst consensus estimate of 59 cents. Commodities also rose, with oil up 0.2% to $61.02 and gold up 0.8% to $4,026.60. European and Asian markets also closed higher.
