Movemaker Launches $2M Grant Program to Boost Aptos Blockchain in Chinese-Speaking Region

Movemaker, the official community organization of the Aptos Foundation, has launched a significant initiative to bolster the Aptos blockchain ecosystem, particularly in the Chinese-speaking region. The organization has announced the Movemaker Grant Program, which will provide US$2 million in grants to support innovative projects building on the Aptos blockchain. This program is part of a broader effort to drive Web3 innovation globally.

The Movemaker Grant Program aims to empower developers and support projects focused on decentralized finance (DeFi), artificial intelligence (AI), payment solutions, stablecoins, and real-world assets (RWAs). The grants will offer financial, strategic, and technical support to accelerate project development and growth. Additionally, grantees will receive talent and branding support to enhance project visibility and adoption. The program is open to developers and projects from the Chinese-speaking region, as well as global teams interested in this market.

In addition to the grant program, Movemaker has opened Aptos Space, a state-of-the-art collaboration hub in Hong Kong. This physical venue will serve as a co-working space for grantees, providing an environment where developers can collaborate, learn from peers, and access mentorship. Movemaker will also host regular meetups and developer events at Aptos Space to attract local and global Web3 talent.

Movemaker’s expansion plans for 2025 include several key initiatives. These include the Ambassador Program, which aims to build a network of champions who share Movemaker’s vision for Web3. The organization also plans to host at least two large-scale builder events in 2025 to unite local Chinese-speaking and global Web3 talent. Additionally, Movemaker will collaborate with government bodies, media, and community leaders to amplify Aptos’ impact in and beyond the blockchain space. Regular online events and AMAs will also be held to keep the Aptos community informed and inspired.
