Mexican authorities are seeking to speak with Canadian mining firm Vizsla Silver over the kidnapping of 10 employees. Sinaloa Attorney General Claudia Zulema Sánchez Kondo said the company has not contacted them, and they want to establish communication. Vizsla Silver paused operations in April 2025 due to security concerns, and the kidnapping has emerged as a top priority for state and federal authorities in Sinaloa. Authorities suspect a faction of the Sinaloa cartel, Los Chapitos, was involved in the kidnapping.
