Metaplanet, a Japanese hotel and investment firm, has solidified its position as the 10th-largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally following a significant purchase of 319 BTC worth $26.3 million. The acquisition was made at an average price of $82,549 per Bitcoin, bringing the firm's total holdings to 4,525 BTC, valued at approximately $382.58 million at the time of writing.

Simon Gerovich, the CEO of Metaplanet, has expressed his concern about the company's Bitcoin holdings, stating that he worries daily about not owning enough Bitcoin. He believes that the opportunity to buy Bitcoin will not last forever and that there will eventually be two types of people: those who own Bitcoin and those who regret not buying it. Metaplanet aims to accumulate as much Bitcoin as possible to ensure the relaxation of its shareholders.

Gerovich also anticipates that more financial institutionsFISI-- will show interest in adopting BTC in the near future. The firm has ambitious plans to acquire 10,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2025 and 21,000 BTC by the end of 2026. In addition to its Bitcoin holdings, Metaplanet continues to operate a Tokyo hotel, which it plans to renovate and rebrand as "the Bitcoin Hotel."

Despite the recent decline in Metaplanet's stock, which is down 10.92% in the past month, the company has seen a remarkable increase of 1,229.63% in the past year. This significant growth reflects the firm's strategic investments and its commitment to becoming a major player in the Bitcoin market. The top-ranked crypto asset by market cap is currently trading at $84,675, up nearly 1.5% in the past 24 hours, further emphasizing the potential for growth in the Bitcoin market.
