MedicAlert Foundation, Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, and Fulcrum Therapeutics have partnered to improve emergency department care for people living with sickle cell disease. The partnership aims to streamline and expedite care through rapid access to patient-specific care plans. Individuals with SCD will receive a MedicAlert Smart Medical ID Card linked to a secure digital health profile, providing essential medical information to ED personnel. The program aims to address the often unmet needs of SCD patients and improve their care journey.
