Mattel Unveils First Autistic Barbie Doll, Collaborating with Autistic Self Advocacy Network

Mattel has introduced the first autistic Barbie doll in partnership with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN). The doll features elbow and wrist articulation, eye gaze shifted to the side, and accessories such as a fidget spinner, noise-cancelling headphones, and a tablet with AAC apps. The doll aims to promote representation and inclusion for autistic children through play.
