Maria Hollandsworth Departs El Pollo Loco Amidst Company Turnaround

Maria Hollandsworth, President and COO of El Pollo Loco, is departing the company effective December 26. She had been with the quick-service chain since 2022 and served as interim CEO for four months after Larry Roberts' departure. Hollandsworth will receive accrued benefits and her restricted stock awards and stock options will be deemed vested. She has extensive experience in the restaurant industry, including leadership roles at Dunkin' and Jack in the Box. Her departure comes as El Pollo Loco enters year three of a turnaround plan led by CEO Liz Williams.
