Lucky Brand Joins Ranks of American Eagle and Puma in Compensating Guatemalan Factory Workers

Lucky Brand has agreed to pay $500,000 to former workers of Industrial Hana, a Guatemalan factory that produced goods for the denim company. This move comes after American Eagle Outfitters and Puma also agreed to pay $500,000 each to compensate the workers. The factory's abrupt closure in October 2023 left nearly 250 workers unemployed and owed $1.5 million in severance. Lucky Brand's contribution is seen as a win for labor campaigners, who hailed it as a major step towards ensuring workers' rights.
