Loop Industries and Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation have formed a strategic alliance to promote the shift to a circular polyester economy. The partnership combines Loop's textile-to-textile manufacturing technology with Shinkong's polyester fiber spinning capabilities and customer network. This alliance aims to meet the growing demand for next-generation materials from apparel brands.

Loop Industries (NASDAQ: LOOP) and Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation have announced a strategic alliance aimed at accelerating the transition to a circular polyester economy. The partnership combines Loop's textile-to-textile manufacturing technology with Shinkong's polyester fiber spinning capabilities and extensive customer network, addressing the growing demand for sustainable materials in the apparel industry.

Loop's patented technology transforms end-of-life polyester textile waste into Twist™, a high-purity circular polyester resin designed for the textile and apparel industry. Unlike traditional recycling methods, Loop's process effectively removes dyes, blends, and contaminants, making it uniquely suited for complex textile waste streams. This collaboration will enable Shinkong to offer Twist™ branded resin to its network of over 100 customers worldwide, providing a new source of high-value, sustainable materials.

The alliance also supports the planned Infinite Loop™ India project, which aims to provide high-quality circular polyester yarns to customers. By leveraging Shinkong's yarn-spinning expertise, Loop can supply these yarns directly to its customers, streamlining the supply chain and reducing the number of steps involved in producing sustainable materials.
