Libya's state-run energy company, NOC, is proposing to revive a multibillion-dollar natural gas project to ease electricity shortages. The project, NC-7, would be developed by Arabian Gulf Oil Co. in collaboration with Eni, TotalEnergies, Adnoc, and Turkish Petroleum Corp. However, the project would be overseen by a new company established in Benghazi, which would benefit the eastern administration. The proposal aims to tap Libya's estimated 53 trillion cubic feet of gas resources and meet rising local demand.
