LG Display: Mass-producing 1-120Hz Laptop Panels with Oxide 1Hz Technology

LG Display has begun mass-producing an LCD panel for laptops with its Oxide 1Hz technology, which intelligently adjusts the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz based on on-screen activity. The panel boasts improved battery efficiency, with a 48% increase in usage time on a single charge compared to existing solutions. LG Display will supply the panel to Dell for its XPS lineup, with plans to mass-produce a 1Hz OLED panel in 2027.
