Nothing Launches CMF Headphone Pro with Physical Controls and $99 Price Tag

Nothing's CMF Headphone Pro launches for $99, featuring a physical slider to adjust bass levels, 40mm drivers, LDAC support, and up to 100 hour battery life. The headphones have a unique control setup, including a power button, customizable action button, volume roller, and energy slider. Sony has launched its latest flagship wireless headphones, the WH-1000XM6, in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 39,990, the headphones are available in three color variants—Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue. They can be purchased through Sony Center outlets, the ShopatSC website, Amazon, Croma, and Reliance Digital.

The WH-1000XM6 features Sony’s updated HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, which is seven times faster than its predecessor. This processor uses 12 microphones to enhance both active noise cancellation and audio clarity. Additionally, the headphones include a new “Adaptive NC Optimizer” and an improved “Auto Ambient Sound” mode, which adjust sound based on the user's surroundings. A new Scene-based Listening feature uses environmental and activity sensing to automatically tailor playback and noise cancellation to the situation.

The headphones are equipped with a high-rigidity carbon fiber dome and a redesigned voice coil structure, enhancing vocal richness and instrument separation. They support High-Resolution Audio, both wired and wireless, with LDAC (Lossless Digital Audio Codec) compatibility, and include Sony’s Edge-AI and DSEE Extreme for real-time upscaling of compressed tracks. Other features include Background Music Effect, Game EQ, and 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema to create a spatial audio experience while watching films.

For calls, the WH-1000XM6 features a six-microphone beamforming array with AI-driven voice isolation to separate speech from background noise. The headphones also incorporate Sony’s proprietary voice pick-up technology for clearer conversations.

On the design front, the WH-1000XM6 debuts a wider, pressure-free vegan leather headband with an asymmetrical layout for easier left-right distinction. The earpads are made from stretchable materials for a snug seal against noise intrusion, while a metal-injected folding hinge improves durability and portability.

The WH-1000XM6 is a significant upgrade from the previous model, offering improved noise cancellation, enhanced sound quality, and a more comfortable design. It is priced at a premium, but its advanced features and high-quality build make it a strong contender in the wireless headphone market.
