KuCoin Bridges Crypto and Travel with 60% Hotel Discounts via Entravel
KuCoin, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has launched a global crypto travel platform called KuCoin Pay Travel, offering users discounts of up to 60% on hotel bookings through a partnership with Entravel, a crypto-native travel booking service. The platform, integrated with KuCoin's 40 million users, provides access to over 2.2 million hotels worldwide, with support for more than 50 cryptocurrencies, including BTC, USDT, and KCS according to the release. The initiative marks another step in KuCoin's broader strategy to embed digital assets into everyday commerce, expanding its ecosystem beyond trading to real-world applications like travel, retail, and payments.
The collaboration with Entravel enables seamless crypto transactions for both online and in-person bookings, positioning KuCoin Pay Travel as a bridge between the crypto community and traditional travel services. Entravel's AI-powered infrastructure offers exclusive rates, with luxury accommodations and budget stays accessible through borderless, contactless payments according to Cryptodaily. Alicia Kao, Managing Director of KuCoin, emphasized the platform's role in making crypto "genuinely useful in everyday life," enabling users to leverage their digital assets for convenience, value, and global mobility. Mathias Lundoe Nielsen, CEO of Entravel, added that the partnership would empower KuCoin users to access "luxury travel deals at insider prices" while benefiting from streamlined crypto payments according to Cryptodaily.
KuCoin's move aligns with its ongoing efforts to enhance compliance and security in the crypto space. The platform has recently secured regulatory milestones, including AUSTRAC registration in Australia, reinforcing its commitment to operating within robust compliance frameworks. This approach resonates with broader industry trends, as institutions increasingly prioritize security and regulatory alignment. For instance, KuCoin Institutional recently partnered with Ceffu, a custody provider, to strengthen institutional-grade asset security and compliance infrastructure.

The launch of KuCoin Pay Travel reflects a growing demand for crypto-based solutions in travel and cross-border services. Similar initiatives, such as Visa's recent partnership with Aquanow to expand stablecoin settlements in the CEMEA region, highlight the sector's shift toward faster, cheaper, and more efficient transactions. By integrating crypto into travel, KuCoin aims to address gaps in traditional payment systems while fostering mainstream adoption of digital assets.
With over 40 million users and a focus on expanding crypto's utility, KuCoin's travel platform could influence how consumers and businesses interact with digital currencies. The company's emphasis on compliance, coupled with strategic partnerships, positions it to navigate regulatory landscapes while driving innovation in the crypto ecosystem. As the platform evolves, its success may hinge on user adoption and the ability to maintain competitive advantages in a rapidly expanding market.
