KLIA Aerotrain to Undergo Two-Week Maintenance Starting August 18

KLIA Aerotrain will undergo scheduled overnight works starting Aug 18 for two weeks to optimize performance. The system will be unavailable during non-peak hours, with shuttle buses provided to maintain connectivity. The works are part of ongoing efforts to improve the system's responsiveness, safety, and reliability. Malaysia Airports is also investing in technical enhancements like the Automatic Vehicle Wash Plant.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has announced scheduled maintenance for the KLIA Aerotrain system, set to commence on August 18. The works will be conducted overnight from 12 am to 5 am daily for two weeks, minimizing passenger inconvenience [1].

During this period, the Aerotrain service will be temporarily unavailable. To maintain connectivity, airside shuttle buses will be provided, ensuring smooth travel between the main terminal and satellite building. Passengers are advised to follow airport signage and staff guidance during the maintenance period.

The maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to optimize the system's responsiveness, safety, and long-term reliability, according to MAHB managing director Datuk Mohd Izani Ghani. These scheduled works are essential to ensure optimal performance [1].
