Italian Mobile Operators Opt for Network Sharing to Mitigate 5G Costs

Italian mobile operators Telecom Italia and Fastweb are close to finalizing a network-sharing agreement to cut costs and support the shift to standalone 5G. The deal, aimed at saving each operator between €250 million and €300 million over ten years, would focus on towns with fewer than 35,000 residents, where returns on new investment are weakest.
