Israeli Geothermal Firm Ormat Signs $200M Deal for Data Centers

Ormat Technologies has signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with Switch, a data center company, to supply 13 MW of clean, renewable energy from its Salt Wells geothermal power plant in Nevada. The contract is worth over $200 million and marks Ormat's first in the data center market. The company sees significant potential for growth in the data center market, with a large demand for electricity in the US and opportunities for additional megawatts in similar frameworks.
