Ireland Builds 6-Metre Bridge from Retired Wind Turbine Blades

Ireland has transformed decommissioned wind-turbine blades into a 6-meter bridge, a striking example of circular economy thinking. The Blade Bridge, part of the Midleton-to-Youghal Greenway, reused 19th-century railway foundations instead of building anew. This innovative approach addresses the problem of wind turbine blades becoming difficult materials to manage at the end of their service lives.
