How much a stock's price changes over time is important for most investors, since price performance can both impact your investment portfolio and help you compare investment results across sectors and industries.

Another factor that can influence investors is FOMO, or the fear of missing out, especially with tech giants and popular consumer-facing stocks.

What if you'd invested in WixWIX--.com (WIX) ten years ago? It may not have been easy to hold on to WIX for all that time, but if you did, how much would your investment be worth today?

Wix.com's Business In-Depth

With that in mind, let's take a look at Wix.com's main business drivers.

Headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel and founded in 2006, Wix.com Ltd. is a cloud-based web development platform. The company's platform offers solutions that enable businesses, organizations, professionals and individuals to develop customized websites and application platforms and grow their online presence. Through its e-commerce platform, Wix Stores, it offers merchants professional tools and services to create, design, manage and expand their e-commerce business.

Its core offerings include Wix Editor, Velo by Wix and the AI-enabled Wix Studio, Wix Logo Maker, Wix Harmony, Base44 and Wixel.

Wix Editor offers ready templates and a drag-and-drop editor tool so amateurs can make their websites look professional. Velo by Wix offers additional Java-based tools that allow users to add custom functionality and features to any website created and hosted by the Wix platform.

WIX Studio allows professionals and agencies to leverage the latest AI technology and develop advanced websites at scale. Moreover, with Wix Logo Maker, they can generate a logo by utilizing AI technology.

Wixel makes professional design easy for everyone with AI and a simple interface. It's free to use in English, with a Pro Plan for extra tools and templates.

Wix HarmonyONE-- is a next-generation AI platform designed to make complex web development tasks significantly easier. Harmony allows users to create advanced websites and digital experiences with minimal technical expertise. Base44 is an AI platform designed to enable users to build software applications, not just websites.

In 2025, the company reported revenues of $1.99 billion, up 13% year over year. Growth in the number of registered users and premium subscriptions are key revenue drivers. Registered users at year-end were 304 million while premium subscriptions were 6.11 million.

Its two reportable segments, Creative Subscriptions (monthly, yearly and multi-year premium subscriptions for solutions and bundles, and domain name registration under ICANN) and Business Solutions (in-house and third-party apps sold on its platform) contributed 70.7% and 29.2%, respectively, to 2025 revenues.

Bottom Line

While anyone can invest, building a lucrative investment portfolio takes research, patience, and a little bit of risk. If you had invested in Wix.com ten years ago, you're probably feeling pretty good about your investment today.

A $1000 investment made in March 2016 would be worth $4,687.47, or a gain of 368.75%, as of March 9, 2026, according to our calculations. This return excludes dividends but includes price appreciation.

In comparison, the S&P 500's gained 237.00% and the price of gold went up 290.88% over the same time frame.

Analysts are forecasting more upside for WIX too.

Wix's fourth-quarter results were led by strong new cohort performance, solid user retention in its core business and Base44 outperformance. Base44 achieved $100 million in ARRwithin a short span, driven by product innovation, user expansion and stronger conversion and renewals. Partners revenue rose 21% year over year on the back of strong Studio performance and adoption of Google Workspace and marketing solutions amid GPV headwinds. Driven by Wix Harmony-led cohort momentum and Base44 strength, Wix expects mid-teens growth in both revenue and bookings in the first quarter 2026. It aims to complete most of its $2B share buybacks in 2026, along with $250M raised via a private placement. However, macro-driven GPV weakness among SMBs weighed on its overall performance. Wix expects 2026 FCF margins in the low-to-mid-20% range, though heavier Base44 investments could pressure margins.

Shares have gained 24.49% over the past four weeks and there have been 3 higher earnings estimate revisions for fiscal 2026 compared to none lower. The consensus estimate has moved up as well.
