India's economic think tank, GTRI, warns that importing genetically modified farm products from the US under a proposed trade pact may impact the country's agricultural exports to the EU. GM products like soybean meal and DDGS for animal feed could lead to shipment rejections, higher testing costs, and erosion of India's GMO-free image. GTRI recommends robust traceability and labelling systems to prevent cross-contamination and maintain export competitiveness in the EU.
