United Airlines rises more than 7%, expecting fourth-quarter adjusted EPS of 55-75 cents, compared with 25-50 cents previously.

The U.S. Department of Labor's data showed that the number of initial jobless claims in the week ended November 30 rose to 224,000, the highest level since October 19, 2024, topping the market's expectation of 215,000 and the revised previous value of 215,000.

Moreover, the number of continuing jobless claims in the week ended November 23 fell to 1.871 million, lower than the market's expectation of 1.905 million and the previous value of 1.907 million; the four-week moving average of initial jobless claims in the week ended November 30 rose slightly to 218,200, from 217,000 in the previous week.

The data showed that although the number of initial jobless claims in the United States increased last week, it was still quite stable. At the same time, the market is paying close attention to the U.S. November non-farm employment data to be released on Friday evening. The market expects that the number of new non-farm jobs in November will be 195,000, while the previous value will be only 12,000; the unemployment rate is expected to be 4.2%, while the previous value will be 4.1%; the average hourly wage is expected to grow 3.9% year-on-year, while the previous value will be 4%; it is expected to grow 0.3% month-on-month, while the previous value will be 0.4%.
