Implementing High Availability in Amazon RDS for SQL Server Web Edition with Block-Level Replication

Amazon RDS for SQL Server Web Edition now offers high availability through block-level replication in Multi-AZ deployments. This feature, previously only available in Enterprise and Standard Editions, brings enterprise-grade availability to SQL Server Web Edition. With block-level replication, a synchronized standby database instance is maintained, providing complete data redundancy and automatic failover in case of service disruptions. This streamlined and efficient method reduces operational overhead and is available for SQL Server 2022 Web Edition 16.00.4215.2.v1 and above.
