The partnership aims to establish multi-cloud regions in Mumbai and Chennai, expand availability zones, and provide IBM's software-as-a-service portfolio with full compliance. IBM's mainframe servers power nearly 95% of India's banking transactions and 100% credit card transactions. The executive highlighted India's potential to become the "skills capital of the world" in the AI era and stressed the need for a collaborative effort between the government, academia, and industry to reskill the workforce.
