Humpback Whales Spotted Under Melbourne's West Gate Bridge for the First Time in Living Memory

Two humpback whales have been spotted swimming under Melbourne's West Gate Bridge, a rare sighting in living memory. The whales, first seen on Tuesday, were captured on Ports Victoria's traffic cameras. Whale research officer David Donnelly notes that while it's not uncommon for whales to visit the top end of Port Phillip Bay, this sighting is unusual.
