Hong Kong's Start-Up Ecosystem Booms Under HKIC, but Talent Attraction Remains a Challenge

The Hong Kong Investment Corporation (HKIC) has successfully established an ecosystem for start-ups to raise funds, resulting in a tripling of deals for VC firms like MindWorks. The HKIC has invested in over 150 projects, leveraging more than HK$6 of private capital for every Hong Kong dollar invested. Despite its success, the high cost of living in Hong Kong may deter talent from joining local VC firms.
