In her new role, Ekim will oversee fund formation, regulatory and compliance matters, and firmwide legal initiatives. She will also spearhead strategic efforts aimed at strengthening the investor experience at Civitas. Her cross-sector experience spans finance, real estate, energy, infrastructure, and technology, with deep expertise in corporate, commercial, and compliance matters, foreign investments, and cross-border transactions. She has lived, studied, and worked on three continents, bringing a truly international lens to her work.

Most recently, she served as Managing Director, Legal & Compliance at a real estate investment firm based in San Francisco.
