Granite Secures $495M Tactical Infrastructure Deal for Customs and Border Protection Project

Granite Construction has been awarded a $495M contract by Customs and Border Protection for the LRT-4 Webb-Zapata project. The project involves 27 miles of tactical infrastructure improvements near Laredo, Texas, including excavation, grading, roads, fencing, and electrical installations. Work is set to begin in April 2026 and conclude in July 2027. The award reflects Granite's focus on growing its federal work portfolio.
