Global DDoS Scrubbing Capacity Expanded by GTT in São Paulo, Hong Kong, and Miami to Enhance Threat Mitigation

GTT Communications has expanded its DDoS Protection and Mitigation Services by adding three new scrubbing centers in São Paulo, Brazil; Hong Kong, China; and Miami, U.S. The expansion enhances performance, reduces latency, and increases capacity to mitigate large-scale volumetric attacks. The total scrubbing capacity is now 4Tbps, providing stronger protection for mission-critical applications.

GTT Communications, Inc. has significantly bolstered its DDoS Protection and Mitigation Services by adding three new scrubbing centers in São Paulo, Brazil; Hong Kong, China; and Miami, U.S. This strategic expansion enhances performance, reduces latency, and significantly increases GTT’s capacity to mitigate large-scale volumetric attacks, providing stronger protection for mission-critical applications.

The new scrubbing centers, in alignment with rising regional demand, are integrated with GTT EnvisionCORE, bringing the total number of scrubbing centers globally to 13. This expansion comes at a critical time for the Latin American market, where DDoS attacks targeting traffic have surged by 176% in the first half of 2025 compared to the previous six months [1].

GTT’s total scrubbing capacity is now 4Tbps, a substantial increase that allows for the absorption and neutralization of larger-scale attacks.
