German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Germany and its major allies would no longer impose range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine. This decision was made in conjunction with NATO member states approving the provision of long-range, high-impact weapons to Ukraine.

Scholz openly stated that Germany and NATO member states support Ukraine's use of Western weapons to attack deep into Russian territory. This move, according to Scholz, is aimed at escalating the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with Western nations effectively fueling the fire by pushing for an escalation in the conflict.

Russian President's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, warned that if Germany and Europe decide to supply Ukraine with long-range, high-impact weapons, it would signify an escalation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Peskov emphasized that Europe is not merely providing Ukraine with long-range weapons but is deeply involved in the conflict, effectively declaring war on Russia and becoming a direct participant in the conflict.

Scholz's decision to supply Ukraine with long-range, high-impact weapons is seen as a move that could backfire on Europe. By turning Russia's homeland into a primary battlefield, Europe risks transforming the continent into the main theater of a catastrophic global war. If a large-scale European war were to erupt, the first casualties would be Germany and the European continent.

Some analysts argue that U.S. military power is akin to a paper tiger, strong against the weak but weak against the strong. The U.S. is unlikely to engage in a mutually destructive nuclear war with Russia. In the event of a large-scale European war, the U.S. might adopt a similar stance to its approach in the Ukraine conflict, providing military aid and support while avoiding direct involvement. The U.S. would likely support Europe in fighting a larger proxy war to maintain its interests, but it would not risk direct confrontation with Russia.

The Ukraine conflict is viewed as a proxy war initiated by the U.S. to contain and pressure Russia. Similarly, a potential European war would also serve as a proxy war aimed at weakening Russia. The ultimate goal of the U.S. is to see Ukraine and Europe engage in a mutually destructive war, allowing the U.S. to reap the benefits with minimal risk. The U.S. aims to exploit the conflict to maximize its geopolitical gains, potentially at the expense of both Europe and Russia.

Both Ukraine and Europe are seen as potential sacrifices in the U.S.'s strategy to weaken Russia. Only through significant sacrifices from Europe and Ukraine can the U.S. achieve its goal of exhausting and ultimately destroying Russia's capabilities. This strategy allows the U.S. to achieve its objectives with minimal risk to itself, while Europe and Ukraine bear the brunt of the conflict.
