GE HealthCare has received FDA clearance for Photonova Spectra, a photon-counting CT solution powered by Deep Silicon detector technology. The system offers ultra-high definition spatial and spectral imaging, fast acquisition speeds, and precise visualization of subtle tissue variations, small lesions, and vascular structures. Photon-counting CT directly counts individual photons and measures their energy, enabling higher spectral and spatial resolution, and improved tissue characterization.
