Foothill Gold Line Awards $60M Design/Engineering Contract to Parsons for Claremont Extension

The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority has awarded a $60 million, six-year design and engineering contract to Parsons Transportation Group for the Claremont Extension of the Metro A Line light rail system. Parsons, with experience designing light rail projects, scored highest in the evaluation process and will design all elements of the 2.3-mile extension from 30% to "Approved for Construction" drawings. The project aims to extend the light rail system to Claremont and improve regional mobility and quality of life.
