Fine-grained access control for AI agents and MCP tools with Bedrock AgentCore Gateway interceptors

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway now offers fine-grained access control through gateway interceptors. This feature allows for dynamic filtering of tool availability based on user identity, agent context, and evolving permissions. It also provides schema translation and data protection between AI agents and downstream APIs, enabling the removal of sensitive data like PII or SPI. This new capability addresses the challenges of securing access to thousands of tools across an organization, while maintaining performance and flexibility.
