The total service time for orders was recorded at 256.8 seconds, maintaining its top spot for the fifth consecutive year. Yum! Brands' KFC and Subway also made appearances in the top 10, highlighting their efficient service times.

The report noted that Taco Bell's swift order processing, averaging 195.5 seconds after the order was placed, was a significant factor in its ranking. Chief Digital and Technology Officer Dane Mathews attributed this success to a holistic approach that includes speed, accuracy, and friendliness. He emphasized that these elements are not just individual components but part of a broader ambition to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Customer satisfaction was also linked to the speed of service. When an employee was friendly, the overall drive-thru satisfaction was 97%, dropping to 82% at neutral and 22% for not friendly. Order accuracy also showed a similar trend, with 89% accuracy at the top, 81% for neutral, and 80% for not friendly.

Friendliness was found to correlate with faster service. Orders with friendly service were processed at 323.8 seconds, compared to 366.9 seconds at neutral and 417.5 seconds for not friendly. This underscores the importance of employee interaction in enhancing the customer experience.

The report also highlighted the disparity in performance among restaurant stocks, with a wide mix of returns. Fast-food chains, including McDonald's, are facing lighter traffic trends, prompting a renewed focus on value.
