ExxonMobil's stock has risen 52% in the past year and now trades near its 52-week high. The company's investment in Guyana has been recovered in full, along with operating costs, two years ahead of plan. This marks an inflection point, with more of Guyana's revenue now contributing to free cash flow. ExxonMobilXOM-- produced $17 billion in free cash flow in Q2 2026 and returned $9 billion to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. The Permian set a production record in Q2, but the company's overall margin has not kept pace.
