AT&T Expands Cloud and Fiber Footprint Through AWS and Lumen Deals

AT&T has formed an alliance with Amazon Web Services and Amazon Leo to modernize national connectivity using cloud, AI, and satellite-based internet. The company has also completed its $5.75 billion acquisition of Lumen's Mass Markets fiber business, adding fiber assets and subscribers across 32 states. These moves push AT&T deeper into cloud-centric networking and higher-quality fixed broadband, tying its fiber network and internal IT systems to Amazon Web Services.
