Exascale Labs and Compal Electronics have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to develop a U.S.-based platform for next-generation GPU systems using a native 800-volt direct current (VDC) architecture with solid-state transformer (SST) technology. The platform will integrate Compal's production-grade GPU server platforms and liquid cooling systems with Exascale's Modular Data Center (MDC) and SST power architecture to validate power, compute, cooling, and controls as an integrated system. The goal is to test the operational availability of SST in a data-center-grade, end-to-end environment, accumulating the experience and data needed to support volume deployment.
