Mercedes-Benz's upcoming electric CLA aims for high efficiency, achieving 12kWh/100km, surpassing existing electric vehicles. The CLA will include both NACS and CCS ports, offering flexible charging options, though many competitors haven't fully integrated NACS yet. Mercedes' new electric motor and powertrain technology promise efficiency, especially with its compact EDU 2.0 motor, part of the Mercedes Modular Architecture. The CLA will feature two battery options: an 85kWh model with high energy density and a 58kWh LFP battery for durability. Both batteries support fast charging, with the larger model capable of 320kW speeds. Mercedes claims a record 3,717km in 24 hours with the CLA in testing. Mercedes plans to make future models bidirectional charging capable. Reyes Beverage Group is integrating 29 zero-emission Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 electric semi-trucks into its California fleet as part of its goal to fully transition to zero-emission vehicles by 2039. The electric trucks will significantly reduce carbon emissions and replace around 98,000 gallons of diesel annually. They offer customizable battery and axle configurations, with ranges from 155 to 230 miles, and can charge to 80% in 90 minutes, enhancing operational efficiency without compromising performance.
