European Lithium has signed a 50:50 joint venture with a Romanian state-owned entity to process rare earths from its Tanbreez project in Greenland. The deal aims to reduce Europe's reliance on Chinese rare earths supply and has been positively received by the EU and NATO. The mine has 4.7 billion tonnes of ore and is located near deep-water access, simplifying logistics. The joint venture is a key step in Europe's supply independence and national security goals.
