Ethereum User Burns $1.65M, Donates $5.35M, Alleges Mind Control

An anonymous Ethereum user, identifying himself as Hu Lezhi, recently made headlines by burning $1.65 million worth of ETH and donating another $5.35 million to various crypto-related charities. His actions, accompanied by disturbing messages about mind control and suicidal thoughts, have sparked concern and controversy within the crypto community.

Hu Lezhi burned 500 ETH, equivalent to approximately $1.65 million, and included on-chain messages accusing his employer, Kuande Investment, of persecuting him using brain-computer technology. He also expressed thoughts of ending his life, stating, "If one day I become a victim of the final stage, I will leave this world."

Hu's claims resonated with the broader crypto community, with Tron founder Justin Sun attempting to reach out and listen to his perspective. The crypto world has previously debated the use of brain chip technology, making Hu's allegations even more provocative.

In addition to burning 500 ETH, Hu gave away or destroyed 1,647 more tokens, donating millions to charities such as WikiLeaks, Endaoment, and the Ethereum Foundation. The total depletion of his Ethereum holdings amounted to $5.35 million. Hu's alarming message continued, stating, "Since October 2022, I realized that I have been monitored and manipulated by the mind control organization since birth. Now, I have completely lost my dignity as a human being. I have decided to leave this world and hope that this ugly world will be destroyed soon."

While Ethereum's price briefly spiked following these events, analysts believe it was unrelated, attributing the movement more to Solana-related controversies. However, Hu's high-profile transaction may have had some minor impact on market sentiment.

Hu claimed to work for Kuande Investments, but online investigators have linked this entity to WizardQuant Capital Management. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the actual company, a meme coin named Kuande has already emerged, capitalizing on the situation. Several other meme tokens inspired by Hu's name have also been launched on the Solana blockchain.
