Ericsson and SoftBank Partner to Modernize Japan's 5G Network Infrastructure

Ericsson has signed a multi-year framework agreement with SoftBank Corp. in Japan to expand and modernize the company's core network infrastructure and accelerate 5G Standalone adoption. The agreement includes Ericsson's cloud-native dual-mode 5G Core solution, Ericsson Cloud IMS, and cutting-edge automation technologies to streamline network operations and reduce operational and capital expenditure. The deployment will enable SoftBank to manage existing 4G and 5G services in an integrated manner, improving network scalability and reliability.
