A new study by What Car? found that electric car range can almost halve when driving in heatwave temperatures. The Tesla Model 3 Long Range suffered the most, with a claimed battery range falling to 44% of its official figure. The Citroen e-C3 Max and Kia EV3 Long Range GT-Line S also saw their ranges drop by 29% and 32%, respectively. The study suggests that summer heatwaves can significantly impact the performance of electric cars.
